Do you like to bake? Are you interested in other cultures? Looking for any excuse to make delicious desserts (*raises hand*)? ?

My upcoming baking challenge is for you!

About the July Baking Challenge

Last month, while at the Women in Travel Summit in Quebec City, I got to talking with Marcie from Marcie in Mommyland. When she mentioned that her son likes to bake, I asked if she’d be up for a collaborative baking challenge of some kind. She said yes and we started brainstorming.

Marcie suggested doing something French for Bastille Day, since she’d recently taken her kids to France. I thought that sounded great — I love French desserts! And then I started thinking…with US Independence Day and Canada Day in the same month, why not do July holiday baking challenge?

So, we’re going to make three easy and delicious desserts in July to celebrate three holidays in three different countries:

Canada Day (July 1)

US Independence Day (July 4)

Bastille Day (July 14)

Which desserts are we making?

You’ll have to check back to find out! Or sign up below to get a sneak peek… ?

Here’s what I can tell you now — all three are easy to prepare, delicious, and perfect for summer (only one dessert needs the oven). My mouth is watering just thinking about how good July is going to taste!
